Home cheese making has made a real come back in recent years with more and more people learning the ancient art as well as a push toward being more self sufficient and aware of what’s in our food.
With the emergence of more and more information on cheese and home cheese making we have Katherine Mowbray, joining us to dispel myths and provide you with real information and techniques for successful cheese making at home.
Katherine has a long history in home cheese making rather than commercial large scale production so she focuses on how to use basic equipment you will already have at home to make basic styles such as mozzarella quickly and easily for ready to eat cheese.
This is the perfect starting point for anyone interested in cheese whether it be making or just the enjoyment of it.
Katherine will be demonstrating how easy it is to create fresh, hand stretched Mozzarella using 2 litres of milk in just an hour and a half.
As well as this introduction to cheese making a variety of cheeses will be available for tasting with wine matches on the evening.
Katherine will be on hand to answer any queries on cheese making as well as her book ‘Cutting the Curd’ will be available for purchase.
